Freedom of Expression is under attack from all sides
“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”
Sounds like a very sensible statement and is quite rightly enshrined in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. In fact, it’s article 19.
It seems however, these rights do not fit with the agenda of some. Fascists with AK47s execute people for drawing Mohammed cartoons and lash people in public for daring to be atheist, whilst Regressives scream and shout until the social media platform shuts them down; the
police arrest them; or the SJW lynch mob turns up if anyone dares to offend their equality fragile sense of what’s right and wrong. What’s worse is both groups think they’re right, totally oblivious to the fact they are actually infringing on the rights set out in article 19.
We’ve looked long and hard for the article covering one's human right ‘not to be offended’, but either our researchers need firing or they simply don’t exist.
So if you’re a gun wielding Fascist or a keyboard wielding Regressive on your high horse, you are as equally deserving of the ridicule and scorn of millions of like minded people that think you’re fucking cretins.
