SCULPTURE

This contemporary vase-like sculpture is created at one
of Japan’s “Six Old Kiln” sites. The piece is earthenware,
which is a type of pottery wherein clay is kiln fired to a
porous state. This modern work displays a simple form
and slightly imperfect shape, accented with a single
textured, metallic stripe. Fill it with foliage or a dried
floral display, as the porous earthenware piece is not
impervious to water.
