Oriole Park at Camden Yards
only self-taught artists in permanent and
traveling exhibitions. For a more history-
based museum experience, learn all about
the hard work that built this city at the
Baltimore Museum of Industry. It’s located
in an 1860s oyster cannery, and hands-on
exhibits (including oyster shucking!) take
place alongside displays and recreations
of industrial factories and stores. Just next
to Federal Hill sits the small peninsula of
Locust Point, which is known best for its
historic landmark, Fort McHenry National
Monument and Historic Shrine. Explore
the site where Francis Scott Key found his
inspiration for writing the National Anthem.
Even out of season, nearby Oriole Park
at Camden Yards is worth a stop. It’s
Port Discovery
considered one of the most beautiful
stadiums in the country. Daily tours go into
the dugout, press box and club level. Just
a few blocks away, the rowhouse where Babe Ruth was born
is now a museum dedicated to his life. Visit his first home to
learn all about the famous slugger and see memorabilia from
his childhood and career.
Though it was once a shipbuilding area, the historic Fell’s
Point neighborhood is now known for its stone-paved streets
