B people

AROUND THE TEAMS
In 1980 , there was a B man who asked about the ‘ Living One ’. Morris recently spoke to this man , all these years later , and heard about how he has continued to live out his faith , sharing it with his family and friends .
When Morris shared this story , he well knows that it is the prayer of our hearts that each of our cross-cultural workers will have the privilege of conversations centred on answering that precious and life giving question . We pray that ‘ Who is the Living One ?’ will be on the hearts of many our teams connect with .
We give thanks to the patient workers in this region all those years ago and are encouraged by Morris ’ testimony to the work of the Global Interaction team . Please keep thanking God for our workers in South Asia , for they are continuing a legacy of ministry in this region .

B . I and S . I people

How might a conversation about death lead to planting the seeds of eternal life ? The Education Foundation attracts many local people as students and tutors . As they develop valuable skills which increase employment opportunities , they also have the opportunity to explore faith with the team and local believers . In 2012 Mr A began as a student and is now a full time tutor in three languages . Mr A is from a large family , is a devout Muslim and lives with his aging mother in a village situated outside of the main town .
Initially Mr A was closed to discussion of faith outside of his own . It was an English class discussion on the subject of death that broke down barriers . Global Interaction team members Dave and Edwina have since been invited to Mr A ’ s home . He has been willing to explore Isa Al Masih ( Jesus Christ ) as one of the prophets of his Holy Book and step-by-step is coming closer to knowing the Jesus of the Gospels . We are thankful for Mr . A and pray that his spirit will yearn more for ‘ the Way , the Truth and the Life ’.

Ethnic Thai

Chiang Rai is the northernmost major city in Thailand . Established as a capital city back in 1262 it is now a bustling more modern day city compared to the small village that Prem has called home . For Global Interaction ’ s team members sharing Bible Study in this community with Prem and others has been a privilege .
We are praying that Prem will continue following Jesus as he moves away from his family home and community and settles into university life in the ‘ big smoke ’. His family has taken on extra work to raise income for their son to study International Development . As this provision is sown into his future , we are mindful of his dream of becoming a diplomat and faithful follower of Jesus , a representative for his country and a light in the world for Jesus . Amen to that !
