The Kempsey-Macleay RSL Bowling and Sporting Club offers members and their guests a great
variety of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone.
With recently refurbished flooring, lighting, bar and bathrooms, the ‘Bowlo’, as its affectionately
known, is a great venue to hold a special event, party or function.
Whether it’s a game of lawn bowls, bite to eat or catch up with friends, there’s plenty to enjoy
at the Bowling and Sports Club.

MEET IAN ‘ROCKY’ STONE
Ian ‘Rocky’ Stone is a well renowned bowler who has recently
joined our team as the Bowls Coordinator at the Bowling Club.
Rocky, you’ve played a bit of representative bowling. Tell us
about that?...
Yes, I have represented NSW and Professional Bowls Association
World Indoor Singles.
What made you take on the role of Bowl’s Coordinator within the
Kempsey Macleay RSL?
I wanted to promote the game of bowls within the club and the
local community.
You are playing in the pennants next year. How is this shaping
up?
We’re shaping up well and are hoping to encourage 3-4 sides
to represent the Club next March. Anyone who is interested in
joining our pennants team please come over to the bowling club and put your name down as
soon as possible.
What advice do you have for bowlers starting out?
Go out and enjoy yourself. A great starting place is coming down to our twilight bowls on
Thursday evenings.
What is your beverage of choice?
A schooner of XXXX Gold
