CEO REPORT FROM DANIEL ABELA
Welcome to the first issue of our brand new members’ club
magazine. We are excited to bring you this magazine so you
can stay up to date with what’s happening at our clubs. This
issue covers the busy, festive summer season and we hope you
enjoy it!
We have had a huge 2016 with some fantastic results all round.
Tabatinga celebrated it’s first birthday and collected both a
regional and local prestigious business award for Best Innovation. So a big well
done to the great Tabatinga team who deliver happiness to kids and families
each and every day.
Freshwater Grill was also launched with our very talented head chef, Lloyd
Newell, heading up this new-look taste sensation. He has bought a wonderful
‘paddock to plate’ ethos to our dining experience; including some outstanding
degustation events throughout the year. If you haven’t experienced FG (as it’s
affectionately known) yet, then put it on your list to do so over Summer.
In this issue we also include a preview of our new menu which is coming soon!
The Bowling Club underwent a little refresh with a new look bar, bathroom
facilities and lighting throughout the club. With these changes, we’ve seen
a renewed patronage to the club which is great. We’ve had a successful year
with the mens’ and ladies’ bowls tournaments showing full greens at both
tournaments. I’d like to extend a big congratulations to the mens’ and womens’
pennants teams on their success this year.
Aside from Tabatinga’s success, we are also very proud to have won the Best
Accommodation, Tourism & Attractions category at the local Chamber Business
awards. A massive congratulations to our staff member, Dave Nixon who took
out the Employee of the Year Award at this event also. Great job Dave!
Before we say goodbye to 2016 and hello to a bright new year for 2017, I’d like
to wish all of our fantastic members, staff, management, board of directors,
suppliers and visitors to our wonderful club a very safe, happy Merry Christmas
and New Year.
