South Asia Morris recently met with Das, a man in South Asia whom he had not seen for 15 years. Even though Das’ life has been full of hardship, his faith has remained strong and he along with his family continue to follow Jesus. Das’ father was one of the first people to come to faith in the area where Global Interaction worked in the early 1980’s which had created quite a stir at the time. Das’ dad chose to remain in his community expressing his new faith in a genuine and thoughtful way. When he died, hundreds came to his funeral. This family have been empowered to follow Jesus and in turn are showing The Way for their community. - Morris South East Asia Thailand Before they completed their service in South East Asia Luke and Felicity visited friends from the IS people group to share goodbye meals. The hospitality and generosity of the people had been such a blessing throughout their ten years. One special person was Felicity’s friend Nikki who had lost her baby and went into a coma after labour. Nikki and Felicity were able to reflect on that difficult experience. Felicity reiterated how she had prayed for Nikki in Jesus’ name and how her healing and recovery had been miraculous. Nikki acknowledged that Felicity’s God had heard her prayers. God has been working in the lives of this family and we pray that He may bring other followers of Jesus into Nikki’s path as Luke and Felicity have returned to Australia. - Luke and Felicity Paul travels to villages to spend time with young Thai men who he first shared the Gospel with when they were studying to be monks in Chiang Mai. Recently he met with Mr T for a time of prayer, praise and Scriptural reflection. They talked about the blessings and challenges that Mr T had experienced as a faithful witness in his community. When Paul drove away from Mr T home he took a few wrong turns. Pulling over at a general store, he stopped to ask directions. When a couple and their baby pulled up on their motorbike, Paul heard a familiar voice call out and looked around to see it was Mr W! Mr W was an ex-monk friend who, several years earlier in Chiang Mai, had occasionally listened in on Paul’s discipleship conversations with other monks. Amazed at the encounter, Paul told Mr W that he had been to the village to visit Mr T. Mr W replied that he had just moved into a nearby community with his young family. After getting their photo together, Mr W asked Paul to put him in touch with Mr T so he could hear more about the Living God, the God of coincidences! - Paul and Cathy Some names changed for security reasons.
