PEOPLE GROUP UPDATE From RnB From Nathan Reid “Lulu was always willing and ready to go the extra mile when it came to serving her teammates and the H people. Her home was always open to anybody in need and those who are seeking to know more about the Lord. She loved many people into the Kingdom and we are all the richer for it!” “I first met Lulu when I was leading a Global Xposure team of what I thought were pretty fit and robust young adults. We were assigned to teach alongside ‘little Lulu’. “Too easy”, I thought. But I was wrong. What followed was two weeks trailing a pocket sized juggernaut who ran up flights of stairs like they were speed bumps, taught class after class with energy, diligence, passion and warmth. She seemed to know every student she came across. She had time and love for each and every one. One by one my ‘robust’ team dropped off as they needed to slow down, take a rest, recover from colds, manflu and other maladies. Lulu just kept going. She amazed me. Global Xposure team leader and NSW/ACT team member Over the years each team I took was impacted by Lulu’s heart for Christ and the beautiful H people she worked with. For me, it was during a time of worship following a conversation in an apartment in Central Asia that I first sensed God’s call to work with Global Interaction. I thought that if I could be a voice for God’s work among least-reached people groups and advocate for people like Lulu, I would grab that opportunity. It’s been 12 years since we first met and I continue to honour Lulu as someone who lives out, ‘follow me as I follow Christ.’ I have been profoundly affected by her commitment to honour Jesus as Lord.” VISION SPRING 2016 7
