LaGuardia Product Review

You may be asking yourself right now what ImagineSim LaGuardia has to offer. When I first loaded this airport, I was quiet delighted on the level of complexity and detail the product had to offer, from the taxiway signage to the jetways, even the detail of grass and trees.

Each runway and taxiway have unique texturing which provides a more realistic sense of flying or taxing should I say to your flight sim experience. When heading northwards towards runways 13 and 22, the tarmac turns from a dark gray to a very light gray which reflects details the real world LaGuardia has. This being said throughout parts of LaGuardia the tarmac changes from dark to lighter colors which are reflected in the flight simulator which presents a high level of realism throughout the product.

When taxing to the gates, I was quite pleased with the degree of detail each jetway had. Each jetway is designed for aircraft ranging from small CRJ’s to large Boeing / Airbuses which boosts the level of detail depending on aircraft you are flying. While the jetways are static ImagineSim has integrated SODE jetways as a feature that can be applied once the scenery has been installed. I find this part of the scenery a hassle to change however this can be installed in a matter of minutes following the product manual.

Once arriving at the gate the level of detail ImagineSim put into this was very well designed, and the transparency through the windows when pulling up to the gate sets this product away from many others. This creates a great sense of realism when looking through the glass and viewing aircraft on the other side or seating within the terminal. What makes these transparent windows great is a vast majority of the terminals within this airport are completely covered with windows which show the amount of time and detail ImagineSim went into.

Throughout this scenery, there are many pieces of candy to the eye so to speak which I’d like to explain. The scenery includes many ground vehicles which liven up the scenery in great detail. Many of the vehicles correspond to the airline they service depending on the area or terminal they are located. This provides pilots with a sense of realism which could be experienced in real world airline operations. There are no animated vehicles which is a downside to this product however the detail of the ground vehicles surpassed many of my expectations. Other than ground vehicles scattered throughout this scenery, ImagineSim also made sure to include ULD containers and traffic cones throughout to continue to enhance the level of detail.

In conclusion, ImagineSim put an incredible amount of detail into this product, and I can’t wait to see their future projects and products.
