What is VATSIM: VATSIM was founded in July 2001 by a group of people who brought up tue idea of creating a community of flight simulator enthusiasts across the globe. VATSIM aimed to create a global community for learning and sharing. VATSIM is short for the Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network. It is a completely free online platform which allows Virtual pilots, to fly where ever when ever, aswell as pilots VATSIM also simulates air traffic control, creating the ultime as-real-as-it-gets experience for all virtual pilots. With over 76,000 active members from 2014 connecting yourself to VATSIM allos you to join thousands of other plots in the virtual skis flying many types of aircraft all over the globe. As a VATSIM member you are able to enchance your flying skills and flight simulator experiences across the community. Aswell as being a pilot you can also become an Air Traffic Controller. Also one of the many benefits about joining VATSIM is that it allows you to join in on our events hosted regularly by VirtualUA.
