villagers gree ng him. His face began to hurt from the amount
of smiles and laughter he gave to each of them. “See you again
next week everyone! Wake Sam up for me, would you?” They
all called out her name un l she dozily made her way off of the
sun‐warmed roof, stretched her wings out to kiss the sky, and
tromped along behind Ryan. He turned around to see past the
extent of Sam, all of the happy expressions suddenly fade away
into bored unmoved faces.
Midday:
Ryan Wineheart shields his crystal blue eyes from the
west coast sun. The ocean glistens in them and a red figure
makes its way toward him off in the horizon. Ryan's allegiant
dragon claims her temporary territory around her master. Ryan
o en comes to this spot to clear his mind and allow her to un‐
wind. He looks up at th
