GreatHoles No.10 PAR 4 YARDAGES WINCHESTER COUNTRY CLUB by DAVID PARTRIDGE 14 GREEN: 255 yards RED: 223 yards players should be aware because trouble abounds following an errant tee shot. Huge trees that must be avoided dominate the perilous right side. Abrams Creek, together with two forbidding willow trees, defend the left side. For those players challenging the green on their tee shot, the landing area pinches in as the trees push in from the right and two strategically positioned bunkers protect the putting surface. While the 10th represents an excellent birdie opportunity as an accurate tee shot sets up a very short approach to one of the relatively flatter greens at Winchester, players need to manage their games and execute well thought-out shots, particularly at medal play, on this little gem. The ladies can expect to see a wide variety of scores on the 10th at this year’s championships. Winchester Country Club is an ardent supporter of the VSGA.
