“It goes without saying that the attendance of
the Chief Constable, ACC, Superintendent, the
Special inspector and Sgt Church clearly sent out
the message that we are looked on as a part of
the team and gave our families a feeling that what
we do is appreciated.
“From a PSV’s viewpoint it was great seeing our
whole team there. It was good that my wife can
now put faces to the names when I am extolling
what truly wonderful people you are.
“Finally, what a pleasure to meet all the officers
attending who were uniformly cheerful and
a delight to talk to. Having infinite patience
with (my) daft questions, explaining the uses
of the equipment shown and they made the
demonstrations really memorable.
“Seeing such a range of specialities present
demonstrated how many different ways of serving
the community the service has. You were left
with the impression of total professionalism with
a human face, an absolute credit to all those
present. So please pass on our thanks to all
involved.
My wife has insisted that the dog unit is singled
out for special mention they absolutely made my
canine-fixated partner’s day and as I think she
may have mentioned, several hundred times, we
need more dogs!”
