ANIMAL INSTINCT COLLARING INTELLIGENCE WÜF is a smart collar to make your dog smart. It’s not just for tracking but also learning. Similar to LINK, it features GPS tracking, digital fencing, and activity monitoring. What makes WÜF stand apart is its two-way audio that listens and sends you alerts if your dog is barking, crying, or growling. It even allows you to respond with commands from anywhere in the world. The bite-proof, waterproof and shockproof collar also includes small training programs and games to keep your furry friend entertained. www.getwuf.com ($164) COLLARING COMMUNICATION How many times a day do you talk to your dog and wish it could talk back? Nordic Society for Invention and Discovery (NSID) in Sweden may be granting your wish soon. No More Woof is a device that will translate animal thoughts into English. The product is only in the research phase but has already received a lot of attention — even Volvo did a commercial about it. EEG censoring, micro computing, and a special braincomputer interface translates the brainwaves of dogs into comprehensive thoughts. NSID explains that animal brains are less complex than humans and their signal patterns are more distinct, which makes them easier to distinguish. Even though it’s still a work in progress, NSID hopes to soon share a development kit. Interested? Just email them at [email protected] and they will send you one when it's available. www.nomorewoof.com ($65 – $1,200) THE HOLIDAY ISSUE l VILLE l 17
