Why Building Renovations?
Our historic building is the centerpiece of Villa’s campus, as an
academic institution and as a gathering place for our community.
In 2007, we became the proud owners and stewards of this cherished
landmark, thanks to parents and friends who “paid it forward” in the last
capital campaign.
Our beloved building needs extensive restoration to ensure its
longevity.
• Repair and restore brick facade:
• Clean masonry
• Tuckpoint and caulk terra cotta caps and sills
• Install helical pins to connect existing veneers to structural base
• Fabricate/install steel support braces where needed
• Renovate chapel chimney
• Restore building windows:
• Repair 209 windows due to wear and weather damage
• Replace steel lintels for 30 windows
• Clean and repaint all window frames
