What do you feel are your biggest
achievements?
My biggest achievement is being
who I am today. This might sound
like an oxymoron, but I used to hate
food. At a younger age, food was the
enemy. As a child I used to be obese,
when all I remember from my teenage years was constantly hating food
and battling with eating disorders.
Now, looking back in time, I am glad
for all of these life-changing events
because they make me who I am today. I am much stronger and I thrive
through my eating habits – food is
my best friend, it nourishes my body
and soul. Overcoming eating disorders, obtaining my nutrition degrees, starting my own company at
a young age and helping individuals
overcome their own food demons
are facts that make me really proud
of myself.
Professionally, I want to continue guiding people towards better
health. Altruistically, I want to establish a Health and Nutrition Foundation where health professionals
will be able to battle hunger in third
world countries. We may have the
luxury of adequate nutrition, clean
water supplies and a longer lifespan
through better health, but millions
of people go to bed hungry every
night. I really want to make a change
to the lives of those who are less fortunate. Regarding my personal life,
my ambition is to bring up a healthy,
balanced family and learn through
this process.
Where do you see yourself in five
years from now?
In five years from now I can easily see
myself as a full-time dedicated mum
– the more I think of this, the more I
like the idea.
What’s in your handbag?
What does happiness mean to you?
I will never leave the house without a
raw vegan bar and dried fruits within
my handbag. I cannot imagine myself in a world without snacks in between meals. Besides food, what you
will find in my handbag is my wallet,
my business cards, cell phone and
toiletries.
Happiness means being surrounded
by people you love - being able to
feel unconditional love and empathy
for others. The last few years I’ve noticed that I feel complete when giving and receiving love and affection
at the same time.
