I got interested in streetwear a few years back, when I first started skating. I used to just rock all the skate brands like Nike SB, Spitfire, Independent, Polar, Palace and then started slowly getting into Supreme. At that point it wasn't as expensive as it is now.

However, dropping more than £50 on a hoodie back then, when I was a broke student, was a tough decision. Slowly I started selling off most of my clothes just to buy a few Palace or Supreme pieces, simply because of the hype. I started slowly realizing I didn’t like some of the stuff, and I just bought it because it had a big logo on it.

After a few months I decided that things had to change, and again I sold pretty much my whole wardrobe and decided to start over.

I started looking for inspiration in new brands and Instagram seemed like the best place for it. This is where I found techwear. The functionality, the quality of clothing and the minimalistic designs are the features that caught my attention and interest.

To this day I wouldn't say it's my main style, I still mix lots of brands which have a similar aesthetic. Since I got into streetwear I’ve gained more self-confidence. I used to be afraid to post online or even wear certain things outside, just because I thought they would look odd.

I still get weird comments from people I know or even random people, but that doesn't really stop me.
