RECREATION 2 Hiking Mt. Katsuu 4 Hiking Jawbone Ridge Friday • 2 March • 9 am - 1 pm $25 • Ages 12 & over Take a quick but challenging hike to see beautiful views of the island. Mt. Katsuu is one of three sisters along the southeastern region of the Motobu Peninsula. If you love the outdoors and a place to enjoy the quiet serenity of nature, Mt. Katsuu will not disappoint. Please be sure to bring hiking shoes, a change of clothes, bottled water, and yen for purchases. Sunday • 4 March • 8 am - 3 pm $50 • Ages 12 & over This hike is a little different from the others. It’s one of the longer hikes offered and it isn’t a mountain. Hike along Jawbone Ridge in Ogimi, where you will see off the west coast of Okinawa! When you look around the summit, you will see a familiar place, Okuma Beach and you will get a glance at Kouri Island. Kouri Island, or “Love Island” is popular with not only tourists but also locals because of the high- quality water transparency and stunning views of the ocean. Please be sure to have plenty of water and snacks. 7 10 11 Hike Mt. Ishikawa Wednesday • 7 March • 9 am - 1 pm $25 • Ages 12 & over Along the cliffs and through the winding forest, this Uruma City hike is worth your time. Mt. Ishikawa is considered to be the southernmost point of the Yanbaru Forest and the narrowest point of Okinawa! The view of the coast line of Onna Village to the west and Ikei Island to the east is quite the sight to see. Once at the summit, we will offer complimentary coffee. Please be sure to bring hiking shoes, a change of clothes, bottled water, and yen for purchases. Oki Family Camp Out Saturday & Sunday • 10 - 11 March $10 • Per tent space Experience camping fun with Kadena Outdoor Recreation! Sankaku is a very steep and challenging hike but the view is worth the climb! Located in Nago, you will be able to get an overview of Nago City and Nago Bay. If you plan to join us on our Mt. Katsuu hike, you will get a sneak peek of the mountain from Mt. Sankaku! Be prepared to climb. Please be sure to bring hiking shoes, a change of clothes, bottled water, and yen for purchases.
