Notice to
all Private
Cart Owners
Venetian Golf Club
has received several
complaints of private
cart owners running
stop signs, without
coming to a complete
stop, or sometimes
not slowing down
at all. All vehicles
operated within the
gates of the Venetian
Golf & River Club
community are
required to obey all
traffic signs and laws.
Please be aware of
your surroundings
while operating any
and all vehicles,
including golf carts.
Do your part to
eliminate a serious
accident and please
be safe.
Finishing your swing
Finishing your swing is one of the most important aspects of a
good consistent swing. A consistent and balanced golf swing
will always provide a transfer of weight, as a right-handed golfer,
your weight will transfer from your right side to your left side.
To ensure a proper transfer of weight, in your back swing, turn
your back to the target and in your down swing/follow-through
finish standing tall on your left leg with your shoulders and belt
facing the target. If you have any questions, please see Warren
or Chris in the golf shop.
2019 USGA Rules Changes
The USGA is changing several rules beginning January 1, 2019,
including how to drop a ball, time for ball search, repairing
spike marks, leaving the flagstick in the hole and relaxed rules
in penalty areas to name a few. The golf shop will do its best
to keep you up-to-date with the new changes in rules as well
as definitions and verbiage. The idea behind all the changes is
to modernize the rules of golf. In the beginning, it may seem
confusing but it will get easy as time goes by.
Please visit www.usga.org to learn more about the new rules
of golf. Beginning January, 1, 2019, you must play by the new
rules. If you have any questions regarding the new tiles, please
contact the golf shop.
