VEILED: PERSPECTIVES “It’s a daily struggle, but I definetly try to incorporate all those things in my life [such as reading the Qur’an and praying five times a day] regardless of how busy I am. The end goal is to reach that spiritual height and relationship with God. It’s not something you can reach at a certain age, it’s a continuous learning process.” It is suggested to look towards the Prophets as role models as they are examples of the closest beings to perfect Muslims. There are girls who are told to wear it or do not truly understand the meaning behind it. That is where you have to go out of your way to do research and understand it for yourself to believe in it, otherwise there is no point or real reason to cover. There will always be people who make you uncomfortable about it but as long as you are strong in your faith and choices those other opinions will not matter. 23
