Hirra Sheith “I feel comfortable wearing hijab because we do live in a very hypersexualized society. A lot of it is made possible through the use of a woman’s body to sell to us and then branding it as liberating, yet they are still being used [and subjected to the male gaze]. I want to make sure that my body is my own and that it and what I do with it is no one else’s business. That is how I interpret it and a reason as to why I wear the hijab. It’s changed a lot about how I think and look at everything around me.” - HIRRA 108
