Lands Local Latin Jazz Band in Race for Award

DeSena is nominated for “Jazz Artist of the Year” with the 2014 Los Angeles Music Awards to be held in November 2014. Additionally, in October, he will receive an honor with the coveted Rudy Regalado Foundation and receive recognition from the City of Los Angeles.
DeSena, who resides in Las Vegas and frequents Southern California, was also awarded honorable recognition by the Los Angeles Jazz Society at the 2011 Vibe Summit
His new release 'After Midnight' is vibrant featuring a mix of classic and Latin standards with a West Coast flavor. The album showcases DeSena's ability to perform a multitude of instruments that include; Vibraphone, lead vocals, trumpet, flugelhorn, and Latin percussion. He brings his own brand of spicy Latin rhythms to a few classic tunes along original compositions by himself and Producer Bob Sink.
The collection of songs on 'After Midnight' have mass "cross over" appeal to anyone who appreciates upbeat music. The music moves from a happy danceable to a cool relaxation vibe. The nine tracks combine instrumental tunes with English vocals and a bonus Spanish vocal track.
