JOE FORESMAN - Giving us all a stage.
Last month VIA wrote about the issues with four-walling and the devastating effect it has had on entertainment and entertainers. Many talented artists are left without a stage. Joe Foresman not only provides us with a stage, he also provides us with a networking opportunity and a sense of community.
VIA asked Joe Foresman about Open Mic Vegas.
Here’s what Joe had to say:
“I can give you a brief overview of what i am trying to do...I started Open Mic Vegas to try to give more people venues to be able to perform. There are open mics around town, but my sole purpose is dedicating to creating, running and promoting open mic nights as a whole. No one has ever done that in Vegas before. I am always looking for new venues that are interested in running open mic nights. It's all about music...we have been creating a wonderful community of musicians, and are giving them places to perform, to hone their skills, to try out new songs, whether original or covers. So basically, anything I can do to help promote Open Mic Vegas, our individual open mic nights, and the bars that promote live music in Vegas would be great..."
