JUICE REVIEWS BY ALEX SHENKER AZURE CORAL ONYX First up from Pro Vaperz is Azure, which is a classic blue slushy flavour. I reckon I’ve tried upwards of 50 similar flavours this year alone, it’s very much a trendy type of juice these days. I’m very pleased to say that Azure is definitely one of the top blue raspberry slush flavours I’ve tried. The candy sweet raspberry taste is mouth-wateringly tasty and moreish. There’s a definite bubble gum hint in there as well, that really adds to the overall taste. I really enjoyed vaping Azure and would happily recommend it to everyone. Coral is a beautifully balanced mixed tropical fruit. The initial flavour I got was pineapple and mango, but there are hints and notes of loads of other different fruits like passion fruit and papaya. The overall flavour takes me away to a hot, sunny island somewhere in the pacific with a big fruity drink in my hand. Absolute paradise. Last up from Pro Vapers is Onyx, something a little different to the previous two juices. It’s an icy blackcurrant vape that’s ultra-refreshing. The blackcurrant flavour tastes like a handful of freshly- picked berries and the menthol is well balanced, giving a fantastic icy hit without becoming too overpowering. I really enjoyed Onyx, especially in the hot weather we’ve had of late. DR FROST HONEYDEW BLACKCURRANT VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional Sweetener: Moderate Throat hit: Mild, with cooling DR FROST CANDY CANE ORIGINAL VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional Sweetener: Moderate Throat Hit: Mild, with cooling MR CREAM VANILLA PEACH VG/PG Ratio: 70/30 Additional Sweetener: Moderate Throat Hit: Mild Described as a blend of candy cane and strawberry, Candy Cane Original is a slightly more complex e-liquid from Dr Frost. Peppermint is the dominant flavour on the inhale. It’s herbal but balanced well by an accompanying hard candy note, making for an authentic representation of this Christmas treat. This is supported by a very subtle cream base which gives the mix some body and enhances the peppermint top note nicely. There is also a faint candied strawberry in the background, which seems to become more prominent at higher wattages. This adds some depth to the mix and helps to avoid Candy Cane Original coming across as a one-dimensional flavour. The profile is rounded out with a mellow coolant. This is a subtle e-liquid and a strong contender for an all-day vape if you enjoy mint. Vanilla Peach is Mr Cream’s take on a classic dessert blend that has been popular with vapers for years. This is a stripped back profile that requires intelligent ingredient selection in order to stand out from the crowd. Candied peach is the top note here. It resembles peach rings, but isn’t quite as artificial, carrying some very subtle hints of the earthy stone fruit. This is supported by a decadent vanilla cream, which adds a luxurious mouthfeel and some serious body to the flavour. The cream element is quite heavy, reminding me of cake frosting but it doesn’t distract from the experience or become sickly. I must commend Mr Cream for their selection of peach flavouring in this mix. Many people, myself included, are sensitive to some commercial peach flavourings, which results in a very harsh throat hit. I’m happy to say there is no such effect in this case. Honeydew Blackcurrant from the Dr Frost line is a simple fruit and coolant blend hailing from Malaysia. This is a well-balanced e-liquid, that brings the best out of what could otherwise be a basic profile. Honeydew melon is the first thing you taste. It’s candied without becoming too artificial and makes for a bright top note. This gives way to a dark, sticky blackcurrant which brings both floral tones and substance to the mix. These two contrasting fruits make for a rather moreish profile that remains interesting as the flavours play off one another. A signature Malaysian icy blast finishes things off which elevates the brighter notes and makes for a mellow, refreshing all day vape. Fans of Malaysian style e-liquids should be giving this one a try. JUICE REVIEWS BY BENEDICT ‘NED’ JONES VM18 | 191
