CHERRY BAKEWELL TART VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild
Vapouriz describe Cherry Bakewell Tart as a blend of almond sponge , raspberry jam , icing and cherry . It ’ s fair to say that a profile with this many sweet elements could easily become cloying or sickly . Vapouriz have avoided this by creating a well-balanced mix that primarily focuses on one element of the profile , whilst the other flavours work as accents . The most prominent note here is the raspberry jam . It ’ s intense and warm , to my tastes more akin to a commercial jam rather than the home-made variety . This top note is supported nicely by hints of almond , vanilla and pastry , making for a fullbodied bakery profile . Personally , I ’ m not picking up much cherry here . It could be getting lost in the heavier jam flavour , but I don ’ t see this as much of a problem , since the rest of this profile is already quite bold and complex . Cherry Bakewell tart is a solid bakery e-liquid that will likely appeal to a wide variety of vapers .
ORANGE ALMOND TART VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild
This is another unusual offering from Vapouriz . It ’ s not too often that we see orange in bakery blends , so I must give credit to the manufacturer for thinking outside of the box . The orange here is quite different from what you would normally find in an e-liquid . It ’ s reminiscent of a liqueur rather than the more candied profile you might expect . There seem to be some spiced notes here too , alongside a hint of almond , which really does add to the complexity of the profile . The bakery element isn ’ t overbearing , but functions more as a base note to round out the mix , adding a heavier mouthfeel and ensuring that this e-liquid comes across as a dessert vape rather than a cocktail . I think Orange Almond Tart will be an acquired taste , but I find myself going back to it when I ’ m looking for something a bit different .
APPLE & RHUBARB CRUMBLE VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild
Apple crumble is a tried and tested e-liquid profile but Vapouriz have opted to add a quintessentially British twist to the mix with the inclusion of rhubarb . The top note is a warm green apple . It ’ s on the sweeter side , though that is what you would expect from the real thing in this context . This is joined by hints of cinnamon and some heavier bakery notes . This baked element adds some welcome body to the mix , along with a substantial mouth-feel , which is vital in any competent bakery blend . Rhubarb permeates through the whole experience , and it does add an extra dimension to this e-liquid . It ’ s both sweet and slightly sharp and I feel it stops the blend from becoming overly sweet . Apple & Rhubarb Crumble is an all day vape contender in my books .
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE ICE CREAM VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild , with cooling
I ’ ve said it before and I ’ ll say it again ; chocolate is an incredibly hard flavour profile to capture in e-liquid form . More often than not , it requires a lot of help from complementary flavours to mask off notes , but I ’ m happy to say that Vapouriz have done well here . The top note is a baked chocolate , which is startlingly accurate to what you might expect from chocolate brownie mix . On its own , this might be lacking a bit of body , but a creamy vanilla base supports this bakery top note well , resulting in a decadent dessert profile that should please those with a sweet tooth . If the profile ended there , I would without doubt say that this is among my favourite chocolate vapes , but the manufacturer has opted to include a mild coolant in this blend . Although I can see what they were going for here ( mimicking cold ice cream ), I personally feel it distracts from what is otherwise a rich , warm flavour . Regardless , this is an impressive e-liquid and many people will enjoy the cooling finish .
APRICOT PASSION FRUIT ROULADE VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild
Vapouriz describe this mix as apricot and passion-fruit blended with syrup and pastry . This is certainly an ambitious profile to attempt , let alone replicate successfully . Apricot dominates the mix here for me . It ’ s not artificial and brings some earthiness to the blend . Passion fruit plays second fiddle , whilst adding both floral and sour notes . This is an unconventional pairing , but I must admit it works well and makes for a unique top note . The bakery element of this mix isn ’ t overpowering but does provide some additional sweetness to the profile , which seems appropriate considering the more adventurous choice of fruits . If you ’ re in the mood for a sweeter profile that plays around with some unusual flavourings , consider trying Apricot Passion Fruit Roulade .
DOUBLE DRIP SUPER BERRY SHERBET VG / PG Ratio : 80 / 20 Additional Sweetener : Moderate Throat Hit : Mild
Super Berry Sherbet is described as a mix of seven berries and sherbet . In a market brimming with berry e-liquids , it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd , so how does this one measure up ? Super Berry Sherbet doesn ’ t take any prisoners . Right out of the gates this profile is a bright berry cocktail that is both sweet and tart . To me it seems to be dominated by raspberry and blackcurrant , though I ’ m sure this will be subjective since there are clearly other berries present too . These rather sweet top notes are joined by some florals too , which may be coming from the hint of blueberry that is blended into this mix . Already this is a rather unapologetically loud flavour profile , but it ’ s then further boosted by a citrus kick from the sherbet . This really helps the berry mix pop and makes for a vibrant , sweet e-liquid that I can see many people enjoying . It ’ s perhaps a bit much for me to vape all day , but I ’ m almost certain that I ’ m in the minority in that regard .
