Facebook
When Vapouround Magazine launched
just over a year ago, we took our
vaping business to social media for
the magic to happen. With a whopping
11,000 followers on Instagram and
4,598 followers on Twitter, Daniel
French (Frenchy) has accomplished
to gain 2,146 likes on Facebook
since July 2016. Frenchy manages
Vapouround’s Facebook account and
updates the vaping community about
TPD regulations, NHS guidelines
about e-cigarettes, and other vaperelated news that interests our readers.
Currently satisfying his sweet tooth with
Two Gunz Custers Vanilla, Frenchy
addresses both US and UK regulations
on e-cigarettes on Facebook to vaping
population across the world. Motivated
to gain more likes, Frenchy interacts
with the vaping public every couple of
hours or so. He said: “Most people like
or comment on our pict ures after 5pm
and get sharing when we do our prize
giveaways and competitions.”
The more Facebook friends share posts,
the more likes you can get. Sharing
and connecting on social media gets
people involved and that’s what we at
Vapouround intend to do. We want you
to feel included and be a part of the
vaping community.
Instagram
Katie Loomes, who manages the
Instagram account, has increased the
follower count to an incredible 11,000 in
the last 12 months. She invests a lot of
time on the account and regularly posts
on a daily basis. “It’s really important
to engage with our followers online,”
explains Katie.
She goes on to mention that the
best way to inform vapers about the
magazine’s competitions is through
social media, “it instantly grabs their
attention. It’s different to Facebook,”
Katie continues, “you can’t share content
on Instagram like you can on Facebook
but you can get people to like and
comment on your posts.”
Persevering to gain more followers on
the account, Katie continuously engages
with followers and other vape companies
and interacts with them via Instagram.
She said: “If people send in pictures of
them reading the magazine, I’ll be sure
to post them.” Besides deciding whether
X Pro III or Nashville filters highlight vape
pictures, Katie thinks it’s an excellent
way to deliver exceptional customer
service online.
Katie added: “I’m on instagram 24/7 so
if someone messages the account or
decides to comment, I can write back
straight away. That way we’re
developing a mutual relationship
on our passion for vaping.
“From interacting with customers online,
we, as a vaping community, can help
each other and immediately address the
needs of our fellow or, potential vapers.”
YouTube
What’s so great about promoting
Vapouround Magazine on social media
is the relationship we form with the
vaping community via Facebook, Twitter,
and Instagram. We can share the latest
vaping news and upcoming vape events
with our fellow vapers.
With so many followers online,
Vapouround Magazine intends to
continue launching out on other social
media platforms such as, YouTube.
What’s going to be really exciting about
this account is that we will be looking
to post videos from you. Feel free to
take videos of your favourite e-juices,
favourite mods, how to build your own
coil and we’ll select a few to post on our
YouTube account.
Frenchy, who will be managing our
YouTube channel, expects there to be
a variety of videos. Frenchy said the
idea is for it to be “an informal chat show
with smokers and vapers which will be a
good way to get them to interact with one
another and make them aware
F E AT U R E
of vaping.”
He explained the YouTube channel
will also be a good way to inform the
community about upcoming vaping
events and other topics saying: “For
example, we plan on taking videos of the
Vapouround bus which is going to Vaper
Expo UK -The Return at Birmingham’s
NEC in October and we will be vlogging
about it for the people who can’t attend.”
Social media is a large platform and
similarly, vaping is a massive community
that interacts mainly, online. With just
a click of a button or a simple touch
on your smartphone, you can reach
millions of people all around the globe.
It’s like living a different life online, one
that charms different characters and
summons different communities.
Twitter
Twitter is just one of the biggest social
media platforms to communicate with
people. Whether it’s for sociable or
professional purposes, the fastest and
convenient way to reach somebody is via
social media, and Twitter is an excellent
tool for communication.
We find that announcing our fantastic
competitions, biggest tradeshow
collaborations and posting vaping news
on Twitter, invites our vapers interests
instantly. Not only does it provide us with
the chance to interact with members
from the vaping community, but
we can inform our readers with the
latest updates on Vapouround and
vaping itself.
Considering the vaping industry is
continuously growing rapidly, so are
our Twitter followers. Since joining us
mid-year, Frenchy has increased our
Twitter followers by an incredible 4,734.
He explaiWns “It’s easy to communicate
with vapers online so whenever I find out
about some interesting vaping news, I
like to let our followers know.”
