someone’s life in this way. He added: “James has been smiling all day and I feel so good to be able to show him that he is not alone – perhaps nobody ever did that before. “Now as more people hear about this, I have been sent money to buy him more meals and get him anything he likes.” Keith also brightened up James’ final days by reading him all the messages of support which flooded in from the vaping community in through social media. He also delivered a stuffed animal to a 103-year-old lady who had outlived everyone in her family and had no visitors. Keith said: “I saw this lady with a small teddy bear and felt that if she had a larger one, it would probably help in keeping her warm with such a frail body. “She was sleeping when I came with the new teddy bear so I just placed it next to her and left the room quietly.” While Keith is now a successful businessman he has made no secret of his past which saw him jailed three times and ending up homeless after being a drug addict for over 20 years. “People are giving me props and saying I am amazing. I am not. “I am only the vessel of an amazing God, that has saved and changed my ways. I just choose to continue on and do his work and show gratitude for what he has done for me.” He and his mom even used drugs together for many years but Keith will have been clean for eight years in March. Posting on Facebook from his mom’s bedside he wrote: “We are sitting here reminiscing about the havoc we use to cause, and where life has taken us. Two addicts just sharing this precious time together.” Keith was named Vapouround’s ‘Vaper of the Year’ in May for the amazing work he has done for the vaping community and for his role in setting up the Nora’s Dream charity to help pay the medical bills for the young daughter of a family friend who had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. In fact profits from Diamond Vapor’s best selling e-liquid Nora’s Dream are still paying the girl’s medical bills to this day. Modest Keith said he humbled by all the attention he had received and added: “People are giving me props and saying I am amazing. I am not. “I am only the vessel of an amazing God, that has saved and changed my ways. I just choose to continue on and do his work and show gratitude for what he ha s done for me.” VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE USA 29
