The Rig Pig and
Roughneck V2
First impressions
The Rig Pig by VAMP came in a nice
simple box. Some companies will do a
package with the Roughneck V2 RDA,
but it is not normally sold as a full kit.
The mod comes clean and pre polished
with no signs of machinery oil. It is a
Dual 18650 series hybrid mechanical
mod. As this mod is unregulated I would
only recommend this to an advanced
vaper. At first glance the mod is made
from brass and delrin and I must say,
a true finger print magnet but beautiful
none the less. Even though the exterior
is made from brass and delrin, all contact
points within the mod are copper to
ensure maximum conductivity.
The button is copper and has a very
smooth throw.
Overall Opinion
I have been using this mod for some time
now and I have noticed that the brass
and copper button does patina really
quickly. However, I do not see the need
to rush out and buy polish as it still looks
great as it patinas. Even though it looks
delicate I have to say that it is certainly
durable and hard wearing (definitely feels
like the mod can take a good beating).
Ergonomically this mod feels amazing
in your hands and personally I think the
button is in the perfect place.
As the Rig Pig is a series it is advisable
to build about 0.4 / 0.5 ohms. From
experience in using this mod I can
confirm it is one of hardest hitting mods
I have used. The Roughneck RDA has
a matching brass cap to go with the
Rig Pig. It has a standard 3 post design
with a copper positive post and copper
contact to ensure maximum conductivity.
The roughneck also has large adjustable
airflow and a really deep juice well.
Would I recommend this product?
Personally I would only be able to
recommend this product to an advanced
user as it is a series mod. Other than
that, 100% yes! The mod looks great,
hits incredibly hard and feels comfortable
to hold. I personally love my Rig Pig and
it’s definitely on my list of favourites.
