We have constantly outgrown the previous facilities we were in and over the past three years we have moved three times, outgrowing each within a few months. Because of this we thought it was a good idea to purchase our own building and fit it out how we wanted it and this is working out just fine F E AT U R E Q. I imagine that coming up with new flavours has presented particular challenges of its own. Can you tell me about that? As you can imagine creating flavour combinations which work well together and which will appeal to people is of vital importance. In fact you can get every other aspect of the business right and get the flavour wrong and you are left with no business. That is how important it is. Our flavours took months to develop and test but we believe the time and effort we put in to getting them right has really paid off. Q: So is there a particular process you follow when coming up with new flavours? Yes there is but most of what we do regarding this subject is highly secret. We can say that we spend countless hours testing and researching our flavours. We also have a network of about 100 experienced vapers and vape shop owners that provide really valuable advice and feedback. IF something does not work then these guys are not shy about letting us know. If it is not right then it does not go into production. Q. Staying with flavours for a while, Heisenberg & Pinkman seem to be particularly successful. These are great flavours which are two of the most popular in the UK. They were launched at Vape Fest 2014 and were popular from the very beginning. We decided to launch these flavours with a marketing campaign to all our re-sellers, which put the flavours in hundreds of shops overnight and helped create a huge buzz about them. Q. Do you have your own particular favourite flavours? Phil - It is Heisenberg for me. Nathan - I prefer Caddy. Q. You seem to very quickly outgrow your premises. Have you come up with a solution to this? Yes we have constantly outgrown the previous facilities we were in and over the past three years we have moved three times, outgrowing each within a few months. Because of this we thought it was a good idea to purchase our own building and fit it out how we wanted it and this is working out just fine. We also have a lot of extra room to grow into which is great. Q. You produce a lot of liquid so do you have specialist equipment to allow you to do this? When we first set up we started hand filling but as production increased that was not going to work any more so we had to turn to machinery for quality and efficiency. We now have two fully automated machines which are capable of producing 100,000 bottles per day and we have two semi-automatic machines for filling glass and concentrates. We are running at around 40% capacity so there is a lot of room for us to increase production as demand increases. VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE USA 65
