REVIEWS REVIEW BY REUBEN HODGKINS SKY SOLO Device Specifications: Dimensions: 103mm x 22mm Battery: 1400mAh (built-in) Tank capacity: 3.5ml, 2ml (EU Edition) Advanced OMNI Board Mini chip Charging: Micro-USB This tiny yet surprisingly powerful Sky Solo kit is a great little device produced by Vaporesso. This device is aimed at the starter market, an area within vaping that is growing all the time. The Sky Solo includes a 1400mAh battery which outputs up to 90W depending on the coil installed. Battery life is surprising to say the least, getting almost a full day without a charge this device has impressed us. The kit itself has a great kick with the installed mesh coil. The device has one single button to fire, allowing the chip to handle all the power options for an optimum vape for the coil being used. The fire button itself is click and tactile which is a positive for functionality. The styling of this device is reasonably simple being a tubular design with tank on top. However simple, it’s important to note that this is increasingly a style which is in demand for the starter market. As we know, a new vaper isn’t necessarily wanting a complex design and can often be put off by a technical looking device. The simplicity of this device certainty works to its favour in the intended market area. This device produces a large amount of vapour, which I thought surprising for the size making it a perfect fit for a beginner or intermediate vaper looking to get their nicotine hit from a high VG liquid. The device doesn’t have a regular 510 connection but rather a built-in tank system, tying you into their coil system however this is to be expected which the size of the device. – Small – Lightweight – Good cloud production – No 510 connection for interchanging tanks. The ergonomics of this device are quite simple, being tubular design the smooth metal casing fits well in hand. In conjunction with a medium-sized mouth piece, this device can comfortably fit any user. Reaching 103mm top to bottom and 22mm in diameter, this device is certainly in the very small category, an easy fit in any pocket. Although not advisable if you get pocket fluff. Included in the packaging is the device itself with either 3.5ml or 2ml-TPD compliant tank. Depending on whether or not you have the TPD compliant version, a spare GT Meshed coil, a pack of ‘O’ rings and charger cable for built-in charging via the micro-USB port (two amp charge) and the standard user manual. Overall, this is a great device for a range of uses, as this device is capable of vaping high VG liquids up to a ratio of 80:20. Its versatility increases, allowing the user to vape pretty much any liquid on the market. Although this product is aimed at the starter vaper, an experienced vaper may also have a use for it as either a backup device that can fit in a pocket un-detected or alternatively as a dedicated CBD vaping device. 168 | VM21
