BRINGS A BRIGHTNESS TO ANY DARK DAY.
DESIGN The kit itself includes three hyper engine coils that have quite a
limited wattage range suitability but that doesn’t stop the great flavour
production or cloud production.
As I tested all three coils the T8 coil was significantly better at both
a low wattage and at its higher reach of 110w. Using the coils at the
higher suitable wattage range significantly reduces coil lifespan but, in
my opinion, it is really worth the extra great flavour.
On first sight this tank looks like any other top-fill, big baby from Smok
which is one of the most widely used tanks on the market from the
TFV8 range. This kit comes in a variety of colours but the product I am
testing is the ever popular 7-colour device.
The TFV8 big baby light addition comes with a wide bore drip tip,
perfect for pulling huge clouds but ideally comes with an additional 510
drip tip adapter making other tips suitable.
BUILD QUALITY
COIL LONGEVITY
The capacity of the tank is a modest 5ml but this does make the tank
non TPD compliant. With a big capacity in mind the size of the tank
is quite small and built with a good quality stainless steel which gives
good durability. The tank literally comes with everything you need in
spares too.
Down to the vaping… so the tank has my personal preference of a
lower airflow which really assists the pull and flavour production.
Here’s where it gets interesting, when the fire button is pressed the
tank illuminates from the bottom. It has 12 LED lights built into the base
and at first I though red was the only light option but I was so wrong.
The package comes with six varieties of interchangeable seals that
change the colour. The tank is very gimmicky and the only difference
is that it lights up but that just makes everything feel better. It takes
customisation to a new level.
Overall I thought that the extra lights would increase battery drain but
it actually only has a negligible effect on battery use while providing a
lot of extra pizzazz!
