Vaper Expo as the platform to launch
new products - knowing that they will get
maximum exposure while getting their
products immediately known to tens of
thousands of consumers.
In May, new UK company Dinner Lady
launched their distinctive juice line at
Vaper Expo with one of the most eyecatching stands ever seen at a
vaping expo.
The Dinner Lady team’s hard work paid
off and they were named the best stand
at the show…not bad going for
total newcomers.
Then just five months later a second UK
company attempted to do exactly the
same. Riot Squad came from nowhere
and set out to ensure that everybody
knew who they were.
They were loud, very loud, and you could
not miss them…or indeed, forget them.
(See separate Riot Squad story in this
magazine for more details.)
If this show had a theme it was transport.
We brought a double-decker bus to the
event which proved to be a huge hit.
During the entire three days there was a
constant stream of people taking selfies
in front of our bus before climbing on
board and sampling e-liquids on our top
floor juice deck.
Many other companies had the same
idea as us and among the various
items of transport at the show were a
motorbike, a Lambretta scooter, a Mini
114 ISSUE 08 VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE
Cooper and vans of all shapes and sizes.
One thing which was evident from the
very first Vaper Expo was the huge and
dedicated vaping community which turn
out to be part of this experience.
Visitors tend to arrive early for Vaper
Expo and it is not uncommon for lines to
start building up three hours before the
doors open and by the time the show
starts there are thousands of people
waiting to get in.
“THIS SHOW IS NOT
TO BE MISSED AND
PLANS FOR NEXT
YEAR’S EVENT IN MAY
ARE ALREADY WELL
UNDER WAY.”
This year the organisers worked hard
to ensure this experience was as
interesting as possible. After all nobody
likes to wait in line. So, for the first time,
there was a live DJ to entertain the
crowds as the clock counted down
to showtime.
There was also a very spacious VIP
area where visitors could not only avoid
the queues entirely but their VIP passes
allowed them admission to the event 30
minutes before the doors opened to the
general public.
This proved very popular indeed and
those who purchased VIP passes said it
was well worth it while visitors who did
not do so said they would upgrade to VIP
status next year.
As official media sponsors at the show,
we decided to pull out all the stops and
had a 27-strong Vapouround crew at
Vaper Expo.
We had a chill-out area with sofas for
people to relax and chat, a juice stand
and our centrepiece double decker bus.
During the three days we gave out
freebies - including thousands of bottles
of V Juice-branded bottled of water from
the picnic area in front of our bus.
Every visitor was given a goodie bag
featuring a show guide, e-liquid from ICU
(Intensive Cloud Unit) and other freebies.
ICU had a great show, by the way, with
their Flatline flavour winning a special
juice award at the Expo.
This show is not to be missed and plans
for next year’s event in May are already
well under way.
Such is the global interest in next year’s
event already that the the two major
hotels at the NEC are already fully
booked or close to being sold out.
We will be back in May and would love to
see you there too.
