TPD Bans All Advertising
It’s bold, It’s brash, And it’s legal. It’s the Vapouround Bus.
We wanted to get across the idea that
it is a myth that the TPD bans all forms
of advertising when it comes to
vaping products.
In fact we wanted to drive a bus
through that piece of misinformation so
that is exactly what we decided to do.
As a result, we are now the proud
owners of a colourful Vapouround
double decker bus and it could soon
be coming to a city near you.
But why does any of that matter?
Well while the EU-wide TPD does ban
advertising in general there are a few
exceptions which make it fall short of an
overall blanket ban on advertising.
For example advertising is permitted at
point of sale, on billboards,
on buses, as inserts in
printed media and as
product information on
websites.
So that is why we went out
and purchased ourselves
a bus.
Our totally TPD-compliant
bus will be able to feature
adverts which are not
allowed in newspapers,
magazines or online as
these are still totally legal
on our bus.
This is good news because
our eye-catching bus is
going to stop people in
their tracks wherever
it goes and we plan to
take full advantage of the
advertising opportunities it
provides.
