FYI vapers are all one in the same. We care. Vapers care about one another as well as many others. For example, the vapers also tend to share with others who do not vape. As vapers, we surely donate much time, effort and money to vaping advocacy and to the education of vaping. In regards to this, countless vapers donate so much more, whether in the form of charitable contributions or goodhearted-intentions, vapers certainly share whatever they can spare to issues 216 ISSUE 06 VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE or organizations outside of their own vape-lifestyle. Many media outlets and advocacy organizations have already proven this many times by donating to war veterans and active-duty servicemen and women. This is the first genuinely new way of helping people stop smoking that has come along in decades,” said John Britton, director of the U.K. Center for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies at the University of Nottingham, who led the committee that produced the report. E-cigarettes, he said, “have the potential to help half or more of all smokers get off cigarettes. That’s a huge health benefit, bigger than just about any medical intervention” (http://mobile.nytimes. com/2016/04/28/health/e-cigarettesvaping-quitting-smoking-royal-collegeof-physicians.html?_r=0&referer=https:// www.google.com/). In hindsight, the major differences between smoking tobacco and Vaping nicotine become much more clear, but for those who still may have doubts, let’s sum it up by quoting yet another fantastic article.”Cigarettes do not contain the tar, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, and thousands of other chemical compounds found in tobacco products, and for those trying to wean themselves from a nicotine habit, it is a potential life safer” The differences between Smoking tobacco and Vaping nicotine are vast, especially the testimonials of Vapers when compared to the horror stories smokers tend to tell us about. For instance, in a Huffington Post article written by former-smoker-turned-Vaper, James di Fiore. “I come from a long line of smokers on both sides of my family. When I grew up it wasn’t uncommon for parents to smoke in the house, on long car rides and, of course, in restaurants. Cigarettes were omnipresent, and by the time I was 15 years old I was a smoker myself, happily inhaling smoke into a pair of lungs that had been exposed to second-hand smoke since childhood” (Fiore 2016). James di Fiore, writes further, “For 24 years I was a smoker. That’s nearly a quarter century of inhaling smoke into lungs that are probably black by now. But I loved it. I’d start the day with a smoke and a coffee, and I’d have that last cigarette at the end of my day” (Fiore 2016). Fiore’s testimonial in his writing concludes as he recalls, “When my partner and I were expecting our firstborn, I finally made the decision that I was ready to stop smoking. I had tried a few different strategies by this point but nothing did the trick. I was still a smoker when my son arrived, and remained one until he was a year old. I just couldn’t find the will power. And then, finally, I found something that helped me quit for good. No more need for cigarettes with my coffee, or that last smoke at the end of the day” (Fiore 2016). Overall, I can’t even begin to explain how many times I’ve heard such riveting stories from Vapers all around the U.S., all I can tell you is that there are so many lives being changed in the most positive way. So, if you’re still a smoker, please take a chance with Vaping either tomorrow or later today. Whenever I see a smoker, I don’t turn away, I think of them as s future fellow Vaper, I hope you understand what I ultimately mean to say. Today is the day to choose Vaping as right side because all of us Vapers wish for you to come and play. Who knows? You may just be delighted to stay.
