EVENTS
By Stephen Tarpey
This was the first vaper slam to take
place in Syracuse and Kudos to Freeze
and Mooch for their efforts in putting on
this show. They did all the right things,
got the vendors, got a great venue and
got the word out there for people to
come.
I have always been a big fan of the way
these guys approach shows, I love the
importance that they place on advocacy
120 ISSUE 06 VAPOUROUND MAGAZINE
and how they ensure that giveaways
are about education of the threats to
vaping and what the general public
can do to support these efforts. If
you’re not sure about what they do
for advocacy, please see the last
instalment of Vaporound Magazine
where I wrote about Vaper Slam
Charlotte.
Despite their best efforts the
attendance of the show was not as
good as a lot of the vendors had
hoped for, this is disappointing
as everything seemed like it was
set for a great show. I can only
presume that Syracuse’s vaping
scene is not quite developed
enough to have had the show at
this time, or maybe the threats
by the FDA are putting people
off attending shows, well serious
buyers anyway.
I truly hope that this doesn’t put
vendors off using TVA conventions
in the future, what these guys
have achieved at previous events
is astounding and they will
continue to have support from
Vapouround Magazine.
