team Tea & Vape is a brand new shop and vaping
lounge based in Mapperley, Nottingham. Owners
Chris Hughes and Carl Bennett launched the business
earlier this year, which combines their love of tea with
their passion for all things vape.
It also brings a truly unique side to the vaping scene in Nottingham
and is quite possibly the only vape shop in the UK that specialises
in fine quality loose leaf tea.
Choosing a name for the new business was easy. Chris said: "My
wife thought of the name in seconds. We had a few rather lame
ideas between Carl and myself when my wife simply said ‘Steam’.
And that was it."
In-store and online customers can choose from over 50 different
e-liquids, including Element, El-Diablo, Darkstar, Redvape and
Alchemy, and can complement their choice of liquid with one of
over 50 different types of loose leaf tea or perhaps choose from
their espresso based coffee menu. A good range of starter kits and
other hardware for the more experienced vaper is also available.
Chris has been running Bunkr Tea, a successful online tea
business, for some time and the idea of melding the tea with great
flavours of e-liquid seemed simply perfect. He said: "We both found
ourselves picking a tea to go with whichever flavour liquid we had
in our tanks. Drinking a fresh flavoured green tea whilst vaping a
really fruity e-liquid just works, as does a high VG vanilla custard
with a mug of Irish Breakfast."
Steam Tea & Vape have worked hard to find excellent quality UKmade liquids. Carl said: "We discovered Red Vape was made quite
literally down the road. We met up the owner Neil and completely
fell in love with the range. Although considered to be a premium
brand, we've found a number of our more mature customers
who perhaps struggle with the fruit and cream flavours, really
appreciating this rich tobacco range. The unique Alchemy range
just had to be on our shelves too. A collection of e-liquids with tea
as the base was perfect for our store. And although we don't sell
homemade cakes in store, vaping any of the El-Diablo range is
quite simply a treat in itself.
