In addition, the organisers will send products being
exhibited for random testing by independent labs
and all businesses will need to provide evidence that
they meet certain minimum assessment standards.
Access to the expo is restricted to companies who
create, produce and sell CBD products and companies
offering services to the CBD industry.
Kristina added: “Many brands are claiming that CBD
has so many health benefits but they’re not even aware
of marketing authorisation, advertising authorisation
standards and the things that you can and cannot say.
“Some companies don’t even have their product
classified as a supplement or a food or as a medicine.
It’s really hard for a customer to actually know what
to buy.”
Marketing restrictions can be a frustrating hurdle for
compliant businesses to overcome and this has a knock-
on effect for the consumer. The CBD Link Educational
and Networking Area will feature presentations and
panel discussions from government officials and industry
experts covering topics ranging from production and
distribution through to compliance and legal issues.
“We’re partnering up with a couple of universities
that are researching cannabis and CBD products,”
Kristina said. “They will have a big part in educating
the public and educating businesses that will be attending
the expo.”
“You will leave the Europe
CBD Expo with new
understanding to help
inform your next steps
as a consumer, supplier,
manufacturer or retailer of
CBD products.”
