For our entrees we shared the chicken piccata and fettucine alfredo with salmon. Both of these dishes are often staples in Italian restaurants and if made properly can be the backbone of the restaurant. The piccata is prepared in a lemon white wine sauce with capers and mushrooms, served with potatoes and fresh vegetables. The flavor was vibrant and fresh with the lemon and capers working together in harmony. A great alfredo is similar to a great chocolate cake. It is rich without being overpowering. Alexi’s has mastered their alfredo sauce. As you finish each bite you eagerly await the next. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed each entrée fighting to box some up so that we could try a dessert.

Alexi’s makes their chocolate mousse in house and it shows. We ordered the mousse and two cappuccinos to complete our evening. A perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.

I highly recommend you try Alexi’s in the near future. Alexi’s is open for both lunch and dinner with a great happy hour available from 3pm – 7pm. Our dinner, including wine, was under $100 including the gratuity.
