In 2014, he submitted three collections to the North American Hairdressing Awards for 2015 (Color, Avant Garde and Hairdresser of the Year). In 2012, he competed individually and placed 2nd in Hair Wars Scottsdale and Hair Wars World. He also created Arizona Salon Professionals networking page on Facebook, now boasting over 6,000 members. In 2011, he was the Educator of the Year at 3 Chix Salon Supplies. In 2010, he traveled to Europe to teach for Zerran International as a Product Line Expert. He also contributed two different spots on Sonoran Living TV, 'Summer Hair Trends' and 'Celebrity Hair Styles'.
