one another are happier and more connected. Material gifts during the holiday season can overshadow more meaningful acts of love. Consider, attending school functions, appreciating creative projects, and recognizing what appreciation means to each member of your family or group of friends. Simply being there can have a more long standing impact than a wrapped gift.

3. Thank yous can be all about appreciation and love as well. When visiting friends and family during holiday travels, leave notes of gratitude around the house. This playful act demonstrates appreciation and brings a smile. You can also send out a thank you letter, or a short memo to some of the important people in your life every day of the holiday season.
