Facebook Live is a live interactive video component of Facebook. Users can go live via their phone or tablet. There are some accessories that can aid in providing a more polished video. A few types also can be helpful prior to going live, during and after.

10 Facebook Live Tips

1. Tripod - This is very helpful for stabilizing your phone. The tripod shown in the video was purchased from Tempe Camera. Tripod options include table top, mini and full tripods. You will need an extension attached to your tripod to hold your phone.

2. Microphone - IK Multimedia iRig ($99) offers a great handheld microphone that is plug and play. If you wish to do red carpet interviews, it’s a hit! Another option is the Audio-Technica ($29) corded microphone that plugs into your audio jack. RØDE VideoMic Me Microphone ($59) shotgun microphone that I have used and really like. This is the microphone that was shown in the video above. There are also wireless microphones.

3. Lighting - Make sure the lighting is in front of you and not behind. If you plan on doing a lot of Facebook Live videos for business it would be a good idea to invest in professional lighting.
