Band is a extracurricular class, it shows you time management on certain things. The Band has done many things for the school. They have played in most of the Basketball and Football
games. They help out so much at the
Pep. rally’s also when they play songs
like ‘Star spangled banner’ and
‘Heathens’. They train a lot every day
and they sound really good when you
are up close. When they train they try
and try again till they get it just right
and they do marching practice too.
Everyone has a job and everyone has a
weakness and a strong point. “I was shy
at first, but when you get used to things
they get a little easier.” I interviewed
Destiny Long she is part of the Band she is one of the percussionist. She was talking about the first time she stepped in the Band room she described in great detail about the feeling she had when she stared. Now she feels like she has accomplished something. She also let me come with her to the Band room the feeling of going in their was so powerful and all in your face. It felt good, like you step a foot in and you belong there. Everyone that's in Band encourages that other people join, because they think it is a amazing class and you get to enjoy playing music. Even if you can’t play a instrument you can also be a flag twirler and that is said to be very hard if you are new at it. Some say that they enjoy that just as much as just being in the Band.
