“Listen to the customer” has been the mantra of Fountain Blu owners Chuck and Sally Kemp, now celebrating their 21st year. Located in Eagle River, Fountain Blu has something for everyone. With selections ranging from Eagle River apparel to garden accessories and novelty doormats featuring slogans such as “Welcome, just don’t expect much,” something new can always be found. Upon arrival in the unique store, the first thing noticed is the array of wildlife and Eagle River clothing. With what seems like the entire animal kingdom being represented, customers can find T-shirts featuring everything from mountain lions and moose to wolves and eagles. The newly expanded polar fleece section will keep visitors warm on those cool summer evenings. With a variety of styles, colors and sizes, these sleek fleeces are a beautiful addition to any wardrobe. For the wine connoisseur, Fountain Blu carries handcrafted cork cages and wine caddies. These metal pieces of art give wine a unique personality and protect the beverage from harm. With shapes such as lighthouses and knights, these caddies have been flying off the shelves. The new cork cages can be a great two-in-one gift for a friend. The bottleshaped basket opens so that a new bottle of wine can be inserted and presented. After the wine has been removed and enjoyed, the remaining cage holds corks and creates a beautiful centerpiece. Barrel, wine glass and other shapes are available. New this year, Fountain Blu is carrying a line of flameless candles. They are perfect for the home or as a gift for people in situations that don’t allow them to burn open-flamed candles.
