Professor Curry has been teaching at the University of Waterloo, mostly courses in microeconomic theory, law and economics, and sports economics. The area of study in economics that Professor Curry specializes in is law and economics, specfiically the economics of crime.

This is Professor Curry's second time featuring in our UW Economics Magazine, but this time around we asked him to give us some advice that could really help his students be more successful as they move forward into their academic and professional careers.

1) What area of research are you focusing on at the moment?

My main area of research is the economics of crime, and my research comprises both theoretical and empirical studies. I am, however, finding myself doing more and more research on hockey analytics.

2) If you could go back in time, what piece of advice would you give

yourself when you were in school?

Take more math courses! That, and don't listen to your roommates when they tell you to do things after a long night of drinking.
