Her advice for soon-to-be graduated PR students is to prepare an impressive resume with measurable experience. She said to be a good writer, set high goals and take risks. Kehoe has found success by watching and learning from valuable mentors. She challenged the UVU PRSSA students to find mentors who will help open doors to the future.

David Olsen is the Senior Manager of Customer Programs at Adobe. He comes from a line of PR professionals and has always been around the PR industry. The UVU PRSSA group took a lengthy tour of the 280,000 sq. foot Adobe Lehi campus complete with a rock wall, full gym, music room, gaming room, Innovative art and eco-friendly details. In his advice, Olsen placed high importance on internships and honing “human skills.”

The Executive VP of Business Development for NUVI, Stuart Dean, shared his many years of PR experience with the UVU PRSSA students. His first point is to remember that social media should always be considered a public relations responsibility. He stressed the importance of writing well and speaking with confidence. Dean is convinced that UVU PRSSA is developing some of the best public relations talent in the world.
