GRADUATE STUDENTS ROB KLUGER SEONGAH HONG KATIE MCCANN Rob Kluger has spent two years of his Ph.D. study at Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) as an Eisenhower Graduate Research Fellow. Rob built an algorithm to detect crashes and near-crashes using data elements present in the J2735 Basic Safety Message and has the opportunity to work with connected vehicle data collected from the safety pilot model deployment from Ann Arbor, MI. Rob is in his third year of Ph.D. study after getting a B.S. from Georgia Tech. In addition to other accolades, Rob was a finalist in UVA’s 2015 3-minute thesis competition and an alternate Eno Transportation Fellow.
