was quite the catch back in 1974, when it
was new and shinning (okay maybe not literally shin-
ning but you know what i mean, right?), the campus
was, and still is, one of a kind, it’s a given since it was
designed by no other than the great Brazilian architect
“Oscar Niemeyer”(who had the same exact project in
Brasilia, capital of Brazil), it may be… ‘colorless’, If I
may call it that way , but I strongly believe that’s one of
its charms, the bluntness of the concrete walls, the way
the polls stand ever so high, it’s a wonderful sight from
all sides. What really makes it even more mesmerizing,
you ask? It’s the way all buildings simply, but beautiful-
ly, blend in with the green nature surrounding it.
Unfortunately, not every wonder lasts, and so when
years went by, our university started to lose its twin-
kle, all mainly due to the fact that the nature wasn’t
preserved the right way, if a stranger walked inside, I
doubt the word ‘clean’ would ever cross their mind. It
got so bad that it finally came, that point where stu-
dents couldn’t just stand still and watch such treasure
be nothing more than a huge trash exhibit.
