THE JAMES WEBB SPACE
TELESCOPE

The James Webb Space
Telescope (JWST), is a part
of NASA’s ongoing Flagship
program,
named
after
James Webb NASA’s second
administrator. It is under
construction and scheduled
to launch from French Guiana
in 2018. What’s unique about
this telescope, is that it’s an
international mission, it is
run in collaboration with the
European Space Agency and
Canadian Space Agency.
Also, This Telescope is the next
premier space observatory as
it will extend the discoveries
of the Hubble Space telescope
simply, because it’s 100 times
more powerful, and it’ll be able
to capture infrared light with
unprecedented sensitivity.
It will observe the birthplaces
of planets, stars and the first
galaxies born after the Big
Bang over 13.5 billion years
ago.
