Where were you on Friday, March 31, 2017?
For more than 150 Danes and Danish-American
members and friends of Rebild National Park Society, they
had the unforgettable experience of being on St. Croix on the
U.S. Virgin Islands for the historic Centennial Celebrations marking
the 100th Anniversary Transfer Ceremonies of the Danish West Indies to
the U.S. Virgin Islands.

On March 31, 1917, the Danish West Indies became the Virgin Islands of the United States.
In conjunction with this historic Centennial Celebration, the Danish-American Friendship
Organization “Rebild National Park Society” specifically planned its Annual Membership Meeting
on St. Croix for March 29 - April 5, 2017 and took part in the 100th Anniversary Transfer Ceremonies.
The events started on Thursday, March 30, 2017, when there was a mid-day Rebild Welcome Reception at the
Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Hotel & Spa on St. Croix. Rebild National President Jesper Jespersen bid a hearty
