former cosmetologist,
Wife to Chad + Mom to
3 Amazing Kids Jack,
Harper and Paxton. I
decided to take a chance
in creating hope for those
in need one cuff at a
time!!
After leaving my career as a Cosmetologist
to become a stay at home mom, I was
looking for a creative outlet that had
meaning.. I’ve always wanted to design my
own jewelry and from a very young age I
loved creating... I gave hand stamping a
try and loved it!!
My Dad passed away 14 years ago. I
saved one of his belts–a keepsake of him
I decided to use for my own 1st hand
stamped leather cuff. I stamped “Dad”
along with his birthday and death date.
He was a true example of what I wanted to
base my business on and why I started. He
was generous + kind. He took the time to
ask how people were and that’s Big!!
Mary Haman-Tooke, aka thecuffchic, celebrates two years of
being a Boss Babe. She sat down with me to share her story.

I created a cuff for one of my closest friends and
she loved it. Her clients loved it and later asked
where they could get their own. She told me I
should sell them because everyone wants one! My
first thought was “I could never charge people for
these cuffs!”
If it was up to me I would just give them away as
gifts. The more I thought about it, I mentioned it to
my husband and he said “go for it”.
